Assessment and Measurement Standards
- The types of assessments selected measure the stated learning objectives and are consistent with course activities and resources
- The course grading policy is clearly stated
- Specific and descriptive criteria are provided for the evaluation of students' work and participation
- The assessment instruments selected are sequenced, varied, and appropriate to the content being assessed
- "Self‐check" or practice assignments are provided, with timely feedback to students
Strategies and Ideas
Types of assessment I plan to use for my class include:
- Rubrics - For textbook practice assignments, creative projects, and discussion posts
- Weekly Quizzes - Based on materials by week
- Exams - Mid-term and final
Assessment and Feedback Policy
The Assessment and Feedback Policy will be posted on the class website and will also be included in the course syllabus.
Total Points Possible - 850
- Discussion - 10%
- Projects and Textbook Practices - 40%
- Quizzes - 25%
- Exams or Semester Project - 25%

All projects, quizzes, and exams will be graded no later than one week from the duedate. Maybe even sooner. A copy of each project rubric that includes my feedback for each portion will be returned to you.
